Every room has a view - Riwaka
Located in its own secluded valley, this home makes the most of the views to the sea and sun. Due to difficult geotechnical reasons, there was only a small, narrow ridge the house could be constructed on. Our solution was to step the spaces up this ridge, so each room captured the view and sun. The main living spaces were combined into one large open space on the lowest level. The children’s rooms and bathroom are on the middle floor with the main bedroom, ensuite and study on the top floor.
To maximise the living spaces, a cantilevered deck was incorporated, connecting decks at either ends of the house. The result created an affordable, warm, bright and very liveable home for this family of four.
